[Opinion] Our Favorite and Least Favorite Vinyl Wrap Brands (2024)

Not all vinyl brands are the same. There are a good amount of vinyl brands out there. However, they all differ in production process, appearance, installation experience, and longevity.

To keep things brief and straightforward, we'll avoid all the technical details and stick to a few essential points. Our reviews are based on our latest experiences with the brands and those of other vinyl installers. While this list is subjective, its most important factors are vinyl life expectancy and post-install experience. Other factors include installation experience, adhesive coloring, quality, air-release effectiveness, and overall appearance.

Things change, so we'll update this article as best as possible.

Our Favorite Vinyl Brands

These vinyl brands give our clients the best longevity (3-5 years in the PNW), installation experience, and less likelihood of issues.

  2. KPMF

  3. Hexis

  4. Oracal

  5. 3M (HG 2080)

The Most OK Brands

These brands may be worth it if you're looking for a particular color and are fully educated on the pros and cons. These films are just ok. Evolve (metallics)/3M share the longer lifespans of the favorites above. However, there are product issues concerning appearance, defects, air release, installation quality, etc. Aura/Teckwrap tend to have the shorter lifespans of the least favorite list but have excellent finishes.

  1. Aura

  2. Teckwrap

  3. Evolv/Apa (Non-Metallics)

  4. 3M (2080)

Our Least Favorite Vinyl Brands

While some of these brands have excellent finishes, the worst vinyl brands give our clients the least longevity (6 months to 2 years) and lower quality install experience. While we don't generally recommend these, SOME of these brands may work for you if you want a very particular color and the shorter lifespan of the vinyl fits your lifestyle. We can work with you depending on the project scope.

  2. RAXTiFY/Ravoony

  3. Vinyl Frog/Inozetek/CYS

  4. Tinybot/KK Vinyl/Carbins
